Prof. Dr. Tunç Fışgın is an experienced physician specializing in pediatric hematology and oncology. After graduating from Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine, he completed his residency in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at Ankara Dr. Sami Ulus Children’s Hospital. In 2022, he joined Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology as a faculty member.In 2003, he worked at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit (USA). He played a key role in establishing and managing the Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine. Later, he served as the Director of the Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Samsun Medical Park Hospital.In 2013, he became a professor at Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Medicine, and in 2018, he was appointed as the Dean of Altınbaş University Faculty of Medicine. Currently, Prof. Dr. Fışgın serves as the Medical Director and Director of the Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Medical Park Bahçelievler Hospital, as well as a faculty member at Altınbaş University Faculty of Medicine in Istanbul.He specializes in childhood cancers, leukemia, anemia, and hemophilia, as well as bone marrow transplantation, stem cell therapy, and apheresis.Additionally, he is a member of professional organizations such as the Turkish Society of Hematology, the Turkish Pediatric Hematology Association, and the Hemophilia Confederation.
